Tryouts for the 2010/2011 season

Black Hawks Volleyball Club will be hosting tryouts for ages 12 thru 18 for the upcoming 2010 / 2011 Club Volleyball Season. Keep checking back for Opening Date

Tournaments are hosted by several of the North Texas Region clubs, those with facilities with multiple courts.  The actual location / time / formats will usually be posted on line on the host club’s web site by Thursday prior to that weekend’s tournament.  Your coach will keep checking for these postings.

Coaches will email you the Pool assignments for the first day of each tournament.  This will include the Location / Start Time / Court Number / Score Assignments.  We require players to be at the facility One Hour prior to the start of the first match in pool play, regardless if we are playing, scoring, or sitting for the first match.  Color of uniform will be decided by team at last practice prior to the tournament.  Each player is required to have with them both uniform tops in the event we must change to the other top for whatever reason. 

The Lone Star National Qualifier attended by all teams is a 3 day tournament with the first day on Friday.  Keep in mind that players will have to make arrangements with their schools to miss that day.  Please make those arrangements in advance.

While we are already registered for the tournaments below there is always a chance that we may change tournaments to keep our teams adjusted to their level of play.  Please keep this in mind when scheduling around the listed tournaments.

In the event that teams are strong enough to have a legitimate opportunity to qualify for a National Bid at an out-of-state qualifier we may (as a team) elect to substitute one of our tournaments in March to attend a qualifier.  We will try to pick a qualifier that can be within driving distance for those who want to keep costs to a minimum.  There would also be additional costs to enter this tournament (approximately $70 per player) as well as coach’s travel to be distributed among players.
